Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details.

We met at KU med in the emergency department. Laura was pointed in Tyler’s direction by many of the nurses.

When did you know he / she was the one? Was there something he / she did?

T) When Laura kept up on skis and fit in with our Montana group, I knew she was a keeper.

L) I knew Tyler was the one when he could put up with my friends and me and still have a great time. When he moved to Utah, it solidified that I knew I couldn’t live life without him.

What is the most memorable date you’ve ever had?

T) Picking up Laura at the airport and meeting the “love doctor” at Tanner’s. He told us we were a good match. Little did we know that 6 months later we would actually be dating. He should really open up a corner booth at Tanner’s. 🙂

Tell us about the proposal (did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?)

I had no idea that he was going to propose. We had talked about it and looked at rings, but I didn’t think that 1/11/2018 would be the day. I knew what was happening when he asked me to take off my helmet for a picture (keep in mind I had horrible helmet hair!) and him telling me, “Laura, have I told you that I love you today?” A common phrase we tell each other.

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

T) Laura’s ability to make things fun and force me to try new things.

L) Tyler’s ability to stay organized and his willingness to do things that he normally wouldn’t do because I convince him to do them.

If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does

T) Laura has turned our tough, independent, and stoic dog into a snuggling, needy, lapdog. I have an entire album just of Laura and the dog sleeping together.

L) When we are about to do something new, whether it is a hike, a trip to a new city, or a new adventure, Tyler does everything in his power to research, research, and research some more about what we are about to do or where we are about to go.
