Photos from Piper and Dustin’s wedding in Lawrence, Kansas by Jerry Wang Photography – Kansas City based wedding photographers. Wedding ceremony at the picturesque South Park downtown, couple formals inside Allen Fieldhouse and on the campus of University of Kansas. The night ended with a beautiful reception at Abe and Jake’s Landing followed by an exit in a 1950 Lincoln Continental. Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details. D) We met through Lawrence High School Marching Band. Although our first interactions were at the Lions Leap Dance in the Fall of 2006. P) We met through Lawrence High School Marching Band. However, I had a crush on Dustin’s best friend and Dustin spent some time trying to convince me that I was “barking up the wrong tree”. Our first interactions were at the Lion’s Leap Dance in Fall 2006 and after that I thought Dustin was cute and we started talking on the phone every night for hours and one thing led to another. When did you know he / she was the one? Was there something he / she did? D) I think I knew she was the one before I was willing to admit it. […]
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Chelsea and Evan’s engagement session at the Baker University campus in Baldwin City, Kansas. It was my first time meeting with the couple since they saw my booth at the Lawrence Bridal Show. We started with the easy poses and spent a little bit of time getting to know each other. Chelsea graduated from Baker University and they met during her college years. A couple of awkward poses led to bursts of laughter and little by little, they graduated from being camera shy to practically models by the end of the night. To top it all off, we were photo bombed by a friendly outdoor feline during the session and hollered at by the near by farm’s goats while shooting near the town’s train station. All in all, I couldn’t think of better people to spend a Sunday afternoon with! Enjoy the photos.
Photos from Chris and Pamela’s wedding at the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Mission, Kansas followed by a reception at the Deer Creek Golf Club. Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details. A work friend of mine (Pamela) was married to someone who worked with Christopher and she insisted that we meet each other. When did you know he / she was the one? Was there something he / she did? I always felt more relaxed and comfortable when Chris was around. I always felt happier when he was around. After we went on vacation together and spent every day and night together for a week I starting thinking about him as a person I could spend my life with. What is the most memorable date you’ve ever had? I went to my first ever Royals game with Chris. Tell us about the proposal (did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?) Pamela: Chris planned for us to go to Lawrence and spend the night at the Oread. The weather was really cold, temperatures in the single […]
Photos from Myron and Chelsea’s wedding at Danforth Chapel in Lawrence, Kansas. The reception was held at the Granada Theater downtown. Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details. Myron and I truly first met at his birthday/coming home(from spending a summer studying abroad in Italy!) party at Trailridge apartments where our mutual friends, Jon (best man), Quinn (groomsman), Joe (officiate), and Jarad lived. However, I knew who Myron was as I had seen him play in the band Head On Collision. We had lots of mutual friends and we were bound to meet at some point! That party I specifically remember spilling my drink on the floor and being super embarrassed about it (which is ironic because Myron now laughs at how clumsy and spill-prone I am all the time!) When did you know he / she was the one? Was there something he / she did? I think we both knew it was something very real and special about 4 months after we started dating and I left for a month in Ireland. I was about to embark on one of the greatest experiences of my life and yet my […]
